In a presentation delivered to a church group composed of IT experts and small business owners, I shared my personal career journey from IT Service Management to Application Support, Database Administration and Enterprise Architecture.
Kenneth Igiri is an experienced IT Professional with over thirteen-years hands-on experience in Networking, Service Management, Application Support and Database Management. Kenneth has worked in a variety of environments ranging from small companies like Mobilenet Tech ISP to global giants such as Airtel Nigeria and Ecobank Group. In mid-2019, Kenneth took up and new challenge in the field of Enterprise Architecture. He currently works with eProcess International – Ecobank Group’s technology hub – as part of a team of equally astute professionals who coordinate the design of services built in Ecobank Group to deliver value to customers in Africa and the rest of the world.
Kenneth is very well versed in Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL Database technologies having spent most of his career working in this area. He is also well trained in related technologies such as Veritas NetBackup, Cloud Computing. At different points in his career, Kenneth Igiri has acquired certifications in Cisco Networking (Routing and Switching), Service Management (IT Infrastructure Library), Databases (Microsoft SQL Server), and Clouding Computing (Amazon Web Services). Before moving to Enterprise Architecture, for one and a half years, he led a team of sixteen Database Administrators who managed Ecobank Group’s Database infrastructure on a day to day basis. His expertise is also represented in a decent number of technical articles published on popular online blogs - SQL Server Central, MS SQL Tips and Coding Sight.
On the academic angle, Kenneth is a graduate of Federal University of Technology Owerri where he obtained a B.Eng. in Electronic & Computer Engineering. He also holds an MBA from UniCAF University and is currently studying Enterprise Architecture Management with Arden University. When not working or studying, Kenneth can be found writing faith-based fiction, spending time with his wife and two adorable kids or actively participating in worship and serving at ICGC Christ Temple, Accra under Dr. Mensa Otabil. Despite his busy schedule, Kenneth has published four works of fiction and recently one inspirational book. In addition, he continuously engages small business owners through events in his efforts to help them reach their goals of business growth and access to opportunities.
